SENIOR MEAL CHOICE PROGRAM: Barry County Commission on Aging (COA) Senior Meal Choice Program is now available at Jack & Judy's Country Kettle in Nashville, MI. Seniors age 60 (and over) and a resident living in Assyria Township can visit the COA at 320 W. Woodlawn Avenue in Hastings to complete an application and receive a Meal Card loaded to use at the restaurant. For more information, please call the COA at 269-948-4856 or click Here.
DEER CARCASS REMOVAL - A service is available to Barry County residents which allows them to report a dead deer they've seen alongside Barry County roadways. The service is for Barry County and is paid for by a special grant where the carcass will be picked up weekly (generally on Fridays) if a minimum of 4 deer are on the list and in clear sight within 25 feet of the road.
Please call 269-948-4801 24-hours a day to report the carcass location. Please be able to provide the location and distance from the nearest road and cross street and which side of the roadway the carcass is on.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
BACKGROUND: Assyria Township does not maintain a staffed office. The Township Board meets on the first Monday of each month (if Monday is a holiday, we meet the following day) at 7:30 p.m. Except the April meeting is held the last business day in March.
BUSINESS HOURS: Pursuant to MCL 211.10a and Township resolution of 3 July 2006, all property assessment rolls and property appraisal cards (as well as other FOIA material) are available for viewing and copying during customary business hours by appointment. Appointments can be made during a regular monthly meeting or by contacting a Township official.
